Do you know Susie Q?

Susie Q. fishing trawler
Come to the Port Washington Maritime Heritage Festival to check out Susie Q, a family owned fishing trawler from Two Rivers, Wisconsin. The Susie Q is part of a long-running family history in the commercial fishing industry dating back to more than 130 years ago when the LeClair family first began fishing Lake Michigan. Today Susie Q Fish Company holds the state record of 250,000 pounds of alewives caught in one day!

As the LeClair family says, "Commercial fishing runs deep in the heritage of our fine city of Two Rivers. It is a proud heritage- one that the LeClair family has kept alive all these years- not because it's our business, but because it's our life!"

Susie Q will be available for viewing as well as deck tours at the Port Washington Maritime Heritage Festival  August 17-19, 2012. Come check it out!
